Medical science has made great strides over the course of the last century.  A diagnosis which not so long ago would have been received as a death sentence might constitute little more than an inconvenience in today’s medical environment. Some people take it for granted that what they regard as medical advances are morally neutral. But are all biotechnologies free of moral implications? Doesn’t common sense tell us that the ability to do something is not a license to do it?
